connect-ed: Launch Date and Test Message

West Prairie Schools will be sending a test message using the Connect-ED service to our parents on January 12, around 7 p.m.  A letter is being sent home with report cards on Monday that further explains the service.  You can download the letter to view it in a Word Processor or as a PDF.  It is also recommended that you download and read the Frequently Asked Questions document as well.

Emergency Notification System for West Prairie

During the next few weeks West Prairie CUSD 103 will launch the Connect-Ed service. This is our alert and notification service. With Connect-Ed, our district can send personalized voice messages to parents in minutes. Connect-Ed will be an important part of our emergency planning. It will also be used to inform parents about student absences, upcoming school events like testing, or meetings. This time of year, we plan to begin using the service to inform our community about weather-related school closing and cancellations.
 
After we return from winter break, we will send a note home with all our students to inform you of the details of our system and to make sure we have all of your contact information. We will also test the system so we can make sure that we are reaching everyone we need to reach.

We will have the capability to reach our community with phone messages, emails, and SMS text messaging. This system will help us keep in close contact with our parents, guardians, and school groups.
